The villages of Koashir and Al Abbaisah districts in Hajour in Hajjah province, north west of Yemen, are witnessing a large wave of displacement after the Houthis were heavily targeted at houses with mortars.
Local sources said that dozens of families began to flee their homes since yesterday evening after heavy shelling of the Houthis indiscriminate mortar shells on villages.
The sources pointed out that the militias of al Houthi failed yesterday to achieve any progress on the field towards tribal sites and resorted to the indiscriminate shelling of mortars on homes.
The sources added that the shells of the Houthis fell on about 30 houses in the southern regions of the Directorate of Kushar after being targeted from the positions of militias from the Directorate of Aflh Sham.
The sources pointed out that families that include dozens of children and women fled to the reefs and valleys and a number of caves of Houthi militia shells.
The sources said that the displaced families do not know the displacement of displaced only in the valleys, calling relief and humanitarian agencies to intervene to lift the siege on the villages.
